Just a quick note to all our customers. The Sirdar Bonus range, has now changed the labelling and the new stock all carries the Hayfield Logo. Siradr bought out the Hayfield factory a few years back and strted labelling all the yarn as Sirdar. However, there has been a shift around within Sirdar and the Hayfield Logo has been added to the cheaper end of the market. I must stress that there has been no deterioration in the quality of the yarn.
So please don’t be put off by the brand – its still made by Sirdar!

Hi All,
Its a week or so before Christmas, and normally the website gets a little quieter. So this gives me a chance to tell you a bit about us at The Shabby Wool Shop.
The Shabby Wool Shop is run by myself, Stacey and husband, Darran. I am an avid knitter although i enjoy most crafts as long as i can sit in front of the telly or radio to do them. I like alot of noise around me!!!
We sent the business up a couple of years ago, and its gone from strength to strength. Darran has really picked up the ‘ins and outs’ of the craft of knitting, which i must say has amazed me.
At the moment we are stocking the more day to day affordable yarns, but come the new year, we are hoping to start sourcing more individual yarns, especially from local crafters.
The Shabby Wool Shop is an on-line business. We found that alot of our customers don’t have the time to search around the high streets for the yarns they need, so the internet was the logical step for us when setting up the business.
